2013 ATB 5 Ounce Silver Coins, Silver Eagle Sales Stronger

Demand grew for United States Mint silver coins, supported by sharply higher silver prices. US Mint sales stats show improvements for every American Silver Eagle and all the America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Coins.
Sales grew stronger across all US Mint silver coins and for 2013-dated silver sets
One silver product exploded on the sales chart. The 2013-W Proof American Silver Eagle Coin hit 670,813 after adding 18,443 per latest stats from the bureau. As a comparison, collectors ordered 9,967 in the prior round. A reason for the excitement, aside from stronger interest in silver itself, was the possibility of price hikes for US Mint silver coins and silver sets if the value of precious metal continues to climb.
Another item that has kept the interest of buyers has been the 2013 Silver Proof Set. Its week-over-week gains was not quite as dramatic, with a recent jump of 4,039 versus 3,931 previously, but its steady push of averaging 4,359 each week over the past six has driven total sales to 282,346.
The third most popular numismatic silver purchase was the 2013-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle Coin. Its sales grew by 1,822 to hit 127,433.
As for the uncirculated 2013 America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Coins, weekly sales went up 1,972 across the three released to date. That compares to the previous US Mint sales report that showed a combined increase of 1,652. The fourth issue depicting Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Maryland launches next week on August 29. It should spark some sharper sales increases.
