2013 Australian High Relief Silver Coins in Limited-Edition Set

Three collectible silver proof coins are available together as a limited issue set with the recent release of the 2013 Australian High Relief Silver Proof Three-Coin Collection.

Found in the collection are a Kookaburra High Relief Silver Proof Coin, a Kangaroo High Relief Silver Proof Coin and a Koala High Relief Silver Proof Coin. Each is 2013-dated and struck from one ounce of 99.9% pure silver. The set has an issue limit of 1,000 with a further limit of 1 per household.

The three silver coins were all issued separately earlier in the year. The individual Kookaburra coin debuted in May with the Kangaroo coin appearing in July. Finally, the Koala coin launched in August.

Reverse designs showcase a specific creature indigenous to Australia.

Offered on the Kookaburra High Relief Silver Proof Coin is an image of two kookaburras perched on a single tree branch. Bush flowers add to the detail of the design with inscriptions reading "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA" and "2013 1 OZ 999 SILVER." This coin has a maximum mintage of 10,000.

The Kangaroo High Relief Silver Proof Coin has a reverse image of a single adult kangaroo set against a traditional outback scene. Inscriptions include "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA" and "2013 1 OZ 999 SILVER." This coin has a maximum mintage of 20,000.

One adult koala is shown on the reverse of the Koala High Relief Silver Proof Coin. The marsupial is sitting on the branch of a eucalyptus tree with gum leaves surrounding it. Inscriptions surrounding the design are "AUSTRALIAN KOALA" and "2013 1 OZ 999 SILVER." This coin has a maximum mintage of 10,000.

Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II graces the obverse of each silver coin. Inscriptions read "ELIZABETH II,""AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR." That last inscription is indicative of the coins’ legal tender face value.
