Marking the second Perth Mint release in the Australian Seasons series of silver coins is the 2013 Autumn Silver Proof Square Coin.
This strike is in one ounce of 99.9% pure silver and features a colored reverse design emblematic of the Australian season of autumn.
Autumn in Australia occurs during the months of March, April and May. Like its northern hemisphere counterpart, the season is marked with moderate temperatures, notable sunsets and crop harvesting.
Two additional square silver coins are scheduled for the Australian Seasons series with one featuring a reverse depicting the season of summer and another depicting a reverse of spring. Appearing first in the series was the 2013 Summer Silver Square Coin.
