2013 Mount Rushmore 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins Sell Out

2013 Silver Proof Sets were the quickest moving silver product for collectors, the latest US Mint sales stats show, and the two biggest silver products for investors were American Silver Eagles and Mount Rushmore 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins.

Orders for the 2013 Silver Proof Set shot up by 8,754. Its previous weekly jump was 7,213. As it stands, a total of 371,024 of the sets have been purchased since debuting last May.

Other movers were the new 2013 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Sets and the popular 2013 Uncirculated American Silver Eagles. The Uncirculated Dollar Coin Sets gained 3,043 in their first full week of availability, bringing their new total to 12,679. Individual 2013 Uncirculated Silver Eagle Coins added 3,005 to their sales total, which came to 165,080.

The fire is still burning in the bullion arena. American Silver Eagles gained 438,000 with tighter rationing in place, so the record-high total for a year is now 41,113,000. And 2013 Mount Rushmore 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins sold out when the final 6,100 moved on Friday, Nov. 22. That leaves just two designs left from the 2013 America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins. (There are also just two designs left in the collector series after the sellout on Monday of the Perry’s Victory 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin.)

American Silver Eagle bullion coins advanced 438,000 in the last seven days, after seeing three weeks worth of steady jumps of 500,000. The US Mint has been limiting their sales to preserve blanks for 2014-dated issues. Wednesday, Nov. 27, is the as of sales date for the silver bullion coins shown below.
