The latest U.S. Mint sales stats show the 2013 Proof 5-Star Generals silver coins stealing the spotlight from the 2013-W Proof American Silver Eagles, the weekly best seller among silver numismatics products in the previous report.
For starters, collectors picked up 5,398 of the 2013 Proof 5-Star Generals silver coins during their second full week of availability — they launched on March 21, 2013. To date, 29,549 proof silver dollars have been purchased. 2013 Uncirculated 5-Star Generals silver coins also experienced some action, adding 2,386 to their total, which wound up at 14,521.
A sales leader with weekly figures that fit in between the above two silver coins were the 2013-W Proof American Silver Eagles. In this current round of stats, the Silver Eagles gained 4,208. That was a huge slowdown after soaring 25,605 a single week earlier. With the latest purchases now on the books, the new American Silver Eagle total landed at 409,415.
As for the 2013 Girl Scouts of the USA Centennial Silver Dollars, enthusiasm appears to be leveling a little. Their debut was some five weeks ago, on February 28, and collectors took in 1,642 proof and 547 uncirculated coins this time around.

It’s a pricey possession just as my Chanel collections; as the 5-star generals who have played a crucial role in the education and training of officers in times of war and peace are commemorated by way of these coins. A matter of pride indeed!
