2013 Spring Silver Square Coin Ends Australian Seasons Series

The Perth Mint ends a limited mintage series with its 2013 Spring Silver Proof Square Coin, the last of four silver coins in its Australian Seasons program.
Each is struck to proof quality from one ounce of .999 fine silver and to a square shape.
Mintage of the release is limited to 5,000 coins worldwide. Depicted on the reverse is a colorful image emblematic of the season of spring.
"Spring takes place in the months of September, October and November (in Australia)," notes the Perth Mint. "Australia comes alive in this season, as the weather warms and plant and animal life flourishes."
Previous silver coins in the Australian Seasons series include:

Designs and Specifications of 2013 Spring Silver Square Coin
Offered on reverses of the silver coins are two white Cockatoos surrounded by Banksia and Wax flowers. The design is the original work of Perth Mint artist Ing Ing Jong.
Inscriptions surrounding the reverse design include SPRING and 1 OZ 999 SILVER. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mint mark is also found to the lower left.
Each 2013 Spring Silver Square Coin is legal tender. As such, a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley graces the obverse. Inscriptions around the Queen’s portrait read ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 2013 and the coin’s face value of 1 DOLLAR.
All Australian Seasons silver coins have a content of one ounce of 99.9% pure silver, a gross weight of 31.135 grams, dimensions of 33.20 mm by 33.20 mm and thickness of 4.00 mm.
The coins are presented in a Perth Mint display case which is accompanied inside an illustrated shipper with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Right now, the 2013 Spring Silver Square Coin is priced at AUS $84.09 or US $76.94. These prices are subject to change based on the market conditions of silver.
