2014 Australian Outback Collection Features Three Silver Coins

New Perth Mint silver coins depict iconic creatures of the Australian Outback. Available within the Perth’s "2014 Australian Outback 1/2 oz Silver Colored Coin Collection" are three one-half ounce, 99.9% pure silver coins featuring a kangaroo, kookaburra, and koala.
Kangaroo, Kookaburra and Koala Silver Coins in 2014 Australian Outback Collection
Coins depicting the three subjects have been offered individually by the Perth Mint for many years. An Australian Outback Collection such as this one, however, marked its first appearance only in 2012. It has since become an annual issue.
Coins are limited to 4,000 as part of the collection with another 1,000 reserved for other Perth Mint product options.
Australian Outback Silver Coin Collection Specifications
Colored images of a kookaburra, a kangaroo and a koala appear on the reverse of the three silver coins. Each design places the creature in its natural habitat of the Australian Outback.
The Kookaburra silver coin shows the bird perched on the branch of a tree. Inscriptions added to the design include AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA and 2014 1/2 oz 999 SILVER.

The Kangaroo silver coin offers an image of a single adult kangaroo. In the background, hills, trees and wildflowers add to the image. Inscribed above is AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO with 2014 1/2 oz 999 SILVER appearing below.

Finally, the Koala silver coin offers a close-up of a koala. Adding to the design is a spray of eucalyptus leaves. Inscriptions include AUSTRALIAN KOALA and 2014 1/2 oz 999 SILVER.
