2015 Australian Map Shaped Silver Coin Features Redback Spider

A highly venomous spider indigenous to Australia appears on a new Perth Mint collectible, the 2015 Australian Map Shaped Redback Spider 1 Oz Silver Coin.
This latest coin marks the eighth from the Australian Map Shaped Coin Series of 1-ounce coins in 99.9% pure silver with limited mintages of 6,000. Prior coins by year include the:

Coin Design and Specifications
Each new silver coin is in the shape of the Australian continent. Reverses depict a Redback Spider, with its distinctive red stripe, crawling across the face of a rock. Inscriptions around the design are REDBACK SPIDER, 1 oz 999 SILVER, 2015 and the Perth’s ‘P’ mint mark.
Coins are legal tender, featuring obverses with Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty with inscriptions of ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 2015 and 1 DOLLAR.
