2015 Silver Proof Set Ahead of Outgoing Silver Eagles

During the week before the final closeout days of the United States Mint’s 2015 commemorative coin programs and American Silver Eagle coin offerings, consumers actually scooped up more of the 2015 Silver Proof Sets than the best-selling "last chance" item.

Weekly sales of the 2015 Silver Proof Set outpaced the 2015-W Proof American Silver Eagle by 5,864 to 3,308 according to the latest sales stats. The proof set will still be available for many weeks to come, but the Silver Eagle went off sale on Thursday.

The 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set was the third most popular silver product with a gain of 1,120. It was closely followed by the 2015-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle which crossed the 200K milestone after 1,019 were picked up. Its total moved up to 200,016.
