2017 Bullion Silver Eagles Slow to 1.2 Million in February

2017 Bullion American Silver Eagles ended in the low category for sales in February, when compared to January and a year earlier.
Bullion 2017 American Silver Eagles registered February sales of more than 1.2 million.
The U.S. Mint’s network of authorized purchasers took in 1,215,000 coins, which was considerably less than the 5,127,500 that were bought in January and the 4,782,000 picked up in February of last year. Overall, 2017 sales are 40.9% behind the 10,736,500 coins that sold in the first two months of 2016.
As for the U.S. Mint’s numismatic weekly stats of silver collectibles, the proof 2017 Lions Clubs International Centennial Silver Dollar emerged as the favorite with 5,445 orders. To-date 46,345 of them have sold. The uncirculated version did just okay, with 1,513 sold so their total trekked up to 13,633.
The table below shows the latest sales stats for collector coins and related silver products from the U.S. Mint. Sunday, February 26, is the as of date for the standard collectibles and Friday, Mar 3, is the as of date for the bullion products.
