American Silver Eagle Coin Sales Loosen Up

The United States Mint loosened its weekly rationing of bullion American Silver Eagle coins, for the second week in a row.
After a temporary suspension of the investor-quality coins in July, sales have been limited to weekly allocations as low as 750,000 near the end of September. Last week that number moved up to 1,000,000 and this week it climbed to 1,075,000 coins. As of Wednesday, just 79,500 of those remain available. Year-to-date sales are at 37,050,000.
As for the collector versions, 2015-W Proof Silver Eagles which are for sale directly to the public, demand slowed from a gain of 19,132 in the prior report to an addition of 3,665 in this one. A total of 564,877 have been purchased since January. Those figures were not as bad as the 2014-W Proof Silver Eagles, however. Their sales took a nosedive for the first time in ten weeks. The drop was -2,226, moving their total down to 894,836.
In other news, 2015 John F. Kennedy Coin & Chronicles Sets are "currently unavailable" according to its U.S. Mint’s online product page. The latest stats show the sets hit 49,733, which is 99.5% of the 50,000 authorized. A "remind me" button is being offered, which sends an email to would-be buyers if a set becomes available again.
