With all 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Silver Coins sold out and no products debuting, buyers returned their attention to Silver Eagles, the latest United States Mint sales stats revealed. Both the proof and uncirculated 99.9% pure silver coins dominated in this precious metal category. The bullion version exploded as well.

Two new U.S. Mint silver coins were top sellers in the latest sales charts. They included the 2014-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle coin, which made its sales debut on April 10, and the 2014-P Great Smoky Mountains Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin that launched on April 7.

Sales of 2014-W Proof American Eagle silver coins took a nose dive last week, according to the latest United States Mint sales stats. As of Sunday, March 2, 2014, the total for the Proof Silver Eagles ended at 365,188, falling 9,420 from the total reported a week ago.
