Bestseller: 2016 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set

The latest United States Mint sales stats revealed that the number one selling product of the week was the 2016 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set, which launched on Wednesday, December 14. By Sunday, 12,745 of them had sold.

The sales start is the quickest in the series, which debuted in 2007. The new set features the 2016-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle as well as three clad 2016 dated Presidential $1 Coins from the Philadelphia Mint and the clad 2016 Native American $1 Coin from the Denver Mint. This set is $49.95.
For $44.95, collectors can buy the 2016-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle by itself, and many of them did. The U.S. Mint sold 9,430 of the coins during the week and 167,550 of them since their debut on December 1.
Other big sellers in the silver category were the 2016-W Proof Silver Eagle with 6,308 ordered and the 2016 Silver Proof Set with 5,967 ordered.
The table below shows the latest sales stats for collector coins and related silver products from the U.S. Mint. Sunday, December 18, is the as of date for the standard collectibles and Friday, December 23, is the as of date for the bullion products. 2017 bullion Silver Eagles will go on sale January 9.
