Bullion 2017 American Silver Eagles Hit 4.57M in Two Weeks

Sales of United States Mint’s 2017-dated bullion American Silver Eagles tapered this week compared to their debut last week, but their total has already exceeded monthly amounts for the previous ten months.
Two-week Silver Eagle sales total 4,572,500 coins.
The U.S. Mint’s authorized purchasers scooped up another 825,000 coins this week, lifting the 2017 Silver Eagle’s total to 4,572,500 — the most for a month since 4,782,000 coins sold last February.
In numismatic products, the U.S. Mint’s number one seller was the 2016-W Proof Silver Eagle with 2,931 orders. In sixth place overall, but second place among rival silver products, the 2016 Silver Proof Set added 1,460. It was followed by 2016-W Uncirculated Silver Eagles with sales of 1,105.
The table below shows the latest sales stats for collector coins and related silver products from the U.S. Mint. Sunday, January 15, is the as of date for the standard collectibles and Friday, January 20, is the as of date for the bullion products.
