Silver advanced in July, scoring a monthly gain for the first time since January. The precious metal notched an increase of 16 cents, or 0.8%, from a month ago. On Wednesday, silver prices for September delivery declined 5 cents, or 0.3%, to finish at $19.63 an ounce on the Comex in New York.
