Kennedy Silver Coin Collection Sales at 172,634

The rush to 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Silver Coin Collections slowed during the holiday break, the latest United States Mint sales stats revealed, while the chase for the 2014 Silver Proof Set maintained a steady demand.
Sales of the 50th Anniversary Kennedy Silver Coin Collection are at 76.7% of the maximum
During the week prior to Thanksgiving, consumers ordered 21,719 units of the Kennedy silver collection — boosted by the Mint’s lifting of their household order limit. In the latest round however, which included the holiday, buyers took in 6,343. As of Sunday, the Mint has sold 172,634 or 76.7% of the possible 225,000 sets.
Meanwhile, shoppers bought 8,555 of the 2014 Silver Proof Set in the week prior to Thanksgiving and 7,444 of them in this round. The annual Silver Proof Set is always a strong-seller, and with the latest jump, the set’s new sales total bolted up to 361,626.
