Key US Mint Silver Products the Gainers

Not surprising, the U.S. Mint’s two most popular silver products were its best sellers — the 2014 Proof Silver Eagle and the 2014 Silver Proof Set. More, demand for them strengthened after a bit of a slump in the previous United States Mint sales stats report. The two were the only silver products with weekly sales exceeding 1,000.

Starting with the most popular product, collectors pushed up 2014-W Proof Silver Eagles by 8,172 coins which advanced their total to 594,759. Gains from before were 5,266.

2014 Silver Proof Sets came in second place, with collectors picking up 4,138 in the latest round compared to the decline of 378 in the prior week. The new grand total for the set hit 258,628. As a note, prices for the 14-coin Silver Proof Set and the single Proof Silver Eagle are close, at $53.95 and $52.95 respectively.
