Popular 2016 Silver Eagle and Silver Set Lead Sales

In the latest U.S. Mint sales stats, the usual weekly best sellers in the silver numismatic category resumed their reign.

The top spot went to the 2016-W Proof Silver Eagle, which advanced by 9,412 so its sales total is now 461,053. The 2016 Silver Proof Set occupied second place with an increase of 6,391. This puts the set’s total sold at 313,229.

Sales of the U.S. Mint’s bullion American Silver Eagles slowed in this round. Previously their figures skyrocketed by 1,551,000 — the highest weekly total since January, but in the course of this week they rose by 690,000. The number sold for the America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coin series also slowed, following the debut of the Fort Moultrie coin, which experienced a 6,000 weekly gain after putting 24,800 on the board last week.

The table below shows the latest sales stats for collector coins and related silver products from the U.S. Mint. Sunday, November 20, is the as of date for the standard collectibles and Friday, November 25, is the as of date for the bullion products.
