Making American History Coin & Currency Set

Sales of the Making American History Coin & Currency Set surpassed 50,000 after surging nearly 5,000 in a week

Sale of the Making American History Coin & Currency Set exceeded its prior weekly gain by thousands. In this report it surged by 4,974 after picking up 1,464 orders previously. Sales had not been that high since around the product launch in August.

The Making American History Coin & Currency Set has one 2012-S American Silver Eagle proof coin with the San Francisco mint mark to commemorate the U.S. Mint’s 220th anniversary and one $5 note with a serial number beginning with 150 to mark the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s 150th anniversary. As such, the set attracts coin and paper money collectors.

Initial production was 50,000 units, and that milestone was surpassed in this report. The new total clocked in at 51,868. A maximum of 100,000 sets are possible based on demand, because that is the limit based on the availability of $5 notes that start with 150 in their serial number.

In first place were 2012 Silver Proof Sets, rising 9,542 to 350,227, and in third were 2012-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle Coins as 4,776 were added to reach 164,003.
