Celebrating a national refuge and breeding ground for waterfowl and other wildlife in Delaware, the United States Mint on Thursday, October 8, will release a five ounce silver coin showcasing a reverse design emblematic of Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge.

Everglades 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin Sold Out

Out of all of the U.S. Mint numismatic products, the two Proof Silver Eagles won the weekly sales race. In the #1 spot was the 2015-W Proof Silver Eagle, soaring with a change of 19,132. Previously, its increase was only half that number at 8,617. In all, since the coin’s launch on January 2, buyers have picked up 561,212 of the Eagles.

Today, September 28, the U.S. Mint’s network of authorized purchasers began ordering 2015 Bombay Hook 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins, the 4th of this year’s five America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins. Its design is emblematic of Delaware’s Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge.

The United States Mint’s latest weekly sales stats show a sprinkle of variety. Many silver numismatic products outperformed their prior week’s performance, while bullion American Silver Eagles were held back due to deeper rationing.

US Mint Sales: New JFK Sets Nearing Sellout

Early figures from the United States Mint revealed more than 40,000 of the 2015 John F. Kennedy Coin & Chronicles Set sold in the first hour of its release, and then sales reached 45,613 by the end of the day.
With a limited mintage of 50,000 sets and a price tag of $57.95 each, the sets were estimated to sell fast, and they did. Read More…
