Silver Prices Decline more than 3% for Week

kjhlkjIt was a mixed bag of news for precious metals on the week. Silver and gold fell while platinum and palladium climbed. By week’s end, silver lost a sizable chunk of last week’s gains.

New York silver futures for May fell 57.7 cents, or 4.2 percent, to $13.263 an ounce. The metal closed last Friday at $13.84.

The London market for silver dropped as well, but not as much. In spot trading, the London silver fixing ended the week at $13.22, losing 43 cents or 3.2 percent.
