US Marshals Commemorative Coins to Regular Prices

Commemorative products for the 225th anniversary of the United States Marshals Service are about to cost more.

Released in late January at introductory prices ranging from $13.95 to $473.60, regular prices for the clad, gold and silver commemorative coins kick in on Monday, March 2, at 3 PM EST.

Increases are modest, not likely to dissuade anyone to from getting the Marshals coins at their regular prices beyond Monday. Still, buying now will save — especially if getting more than one coin.

Prices will increase by $4 for each clad half-dollar and $5 for each $1 silver coin and gold coin. Here’s a table of current and upcoming prices, and of product sales stats (as of February 22):

There is a 15,000 product limit for the three-coin proof set. Also, prices for the three products with gold coins can change weekly based on the prevailing market value of gold.

All prices include surcharges of $35 per gold coin, $10 for each silver coin, and $5 per half-dollar. Surcharges are paid to the U.S. Marshals Museum (www.usmarshalsmuseum.com) for the preservation, maintenance, and display of artifacts and documents. After the first $5 million, funds get divided between the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation, and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
