The silver coins include the Gettysburg National Military Park Quarter from Pennsylvania, Glacier National Park Quarter from Montana, Olympic National Park Quarter from Washington, Vicksburg National Military Park Quarter from Mississippi and the Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter from Oklahoma.

Each of the silver quarters are produced at the US Mint in San Francisco and bear the "S" mint mark. Standard circulating America the Beautiful Quarters are minted in either Denver or Philadelphia and carry the "D" or "P" mint mark.

Earlier in the year the US Mint had given notice that the proof set would launch for a price of $39.95. However, the cost of silver shot higher and that caused price increases for several US Mint silver products, including the 2011 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set.

The proof set contains just over 0.9 troy ounces of silver, giving it an intrinsic value of $34.24 when using Thursday’s London fix silver price of $37.87 an ounce.

Where to Order Proof Sets

Collectors may purchase the set from the US Mint website at http://www.usmint.gov/ or by calling the toll free telephone number 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). The US Mint will charge a shipping and handling fee of $4.95 on domestic orders.

The US Mint has indicated that the expected shipping times are 1-2 weeks. There are no order limits in place.
