US Mint Releases 2016 Congratulations Set

The United States Mint is now selling the 2016 Congratulations Set. This product features a proof American Silver Eagle inside a festive-themed folder with an area to write a message.

The proof coin is the same as the one sold by itself for $53.95. The set is priced a tad more than it at $54.95.
Folder packing includes a U.S. Mint Certificate of Authenticity and coin specifications. The folder is designed to present both sides of the coin. Throughout the front, inside and backside of the folder are images of gold, silver, and black ribbons.
"There are so many reasons to say congratulations to special people on their special day," the Mint promotes. "The 2016 Congratulations Coin Set from the U.S. Mint is a unique gift for any milestone or achievement."
Packaging has remained unchanged since the first set launched in 2013. The Silver Eagle, however, is different from past years. Instead of the tradition reeded edge, this year’s coin has a smooth edge and incused lettering of "30th ANNIVERSARY." Aside from that, the specifications are the same — each is in an ounce of .999 fine silver.
