US Coin Prices & Sales Figures ScreenNew coins were added to Silver Coins Today’s page: US Silver Coins: Mint Prices & Sales Figures.

Additions include the newly released US Mint 2009 Silver Proof Set and the bullion version of the 2009 American Silver Eagle.

The page includes silver coins and sets that are currently offered by the United States Mint, with:

  • An identifying coin image
  • The latest US Mint price
  • The latest Mint sales figures
  • The coin or sets total silver weight (in troy oz)
  • The intrinsic silver value for each
  • Product information links

In terms of the collectible coins, the silver content or intrinsic value presented on the page should never be used to determine the numismatic value of a coin or set. However, it is useful to know. For example, the 18-coin 2009 Silver Proof Set is sold by the Mint for $52.95. That may seem steep for some when you can purchase the non silver set for $29.95. However, at the Thursday spot price of $13.78 an ounce, the silver proof set actually contains nearly $21 worth of silver. The $52.95 price tag suddenly appears reasonable.

The tool is located at:

It may also be accessed from the top “COIN VALUES” menu.
