February 12, 2009 by Silver Coins Today Staff · Leave a Comment
US silver coin sales increased compared to those reported last week, with the 2008-dated Mint Silver Proof Set jumping by 7,483, or 2.53 percent. To date, over 709,000 have been sold.
50 State Quarter Silver Proof Sets increased by 2,306. These sames sets actually declined by 4,569 in the last Mint report.
The 2008 Bald Eagle coins were removed from the sales stats table since no movement up or down has been seen for several weeks and because the first 2009 commemoratives, the Lincoln Silver Dollars, went on sale Thursday. Sales figures for those should start coming in next week.
