US Mint Silver Sales Slow, Proof Silver Eagles Lead

As usual, the top three numismatic silver sellers in the most recent set of U.S. Mint sales stats were the 2013-W Proof American Silver Eagle, the 2013 Silver Proof Set, and the 2013-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle Coins.
Collectible Silver Eagles and the 2013 Silver Proof Set were top sellers for the US Mint
The main difference between this report and prior ones is the fact that not a single numismatic silver product managed to beat its prior weekly increase. For example, # 1 ranked Proof Silver Eagles gained 15,334, but collectors picked up slightly more of them, 15,463 to be exact, just one week earlier. That said, the new total for the Silver Eagles rose to 770,439.
The gap was a little wider for the second place product. Sales climbed by 5,470 for the 2013 Silver Proof Set, as compared to the 7,522 advance that occurred previously. Its year-to-date number hit 317,659.
As for Uncirculated Silver Eagles, the great stride broke. Buyers demanded 2,236 of the uncirculated strikes, the third most popular product in the silver category, after pulling in a remarkable 6,353 in the prior round. 143,474 have sold so far this year.
